Stephanie Barnes-Dorsey is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee. She was born and raised in San Jose, attended Presentation High School and then attended Houghton College in Western New York. Stephanie went on to attend nursing school at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. She began working with the elderly in a skilled nursing setting as an intern during college and has continued to work specifically with that generation throughout her career in various roles. She received Validation Therapy certification in 2005, and truly is passionate about helping seniors with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Moving back to California in 2005, Stephanie continued working with the elderly. Currently Stephanie is attending Notre Dame de Namur University and will be graduating in May 2012.

Although the majority of Stephanie’s experience is with the elderly, she loves the opportunity to work with individuals of all ages. Her hope is to provide them with a safe, peaceful place to find the healing they seek.

Stephanie currently is the Director of Community Relations at Belmont Village of Sunnyvale and is busy planning her October wedding. She loves going to the beach, reading, cooking and being with friends and family.
