Dr. Boyd is a registered Psychological Assistant, with a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Ryokan College in Los Angeles. She has extensive training and experience in Expressive Art therapies including art, play, story, and sandplay. She is also trained in Affect Centered Therapy (ACT) used to treat addictions, eating disorders, OCD and anxiety. She specializes in childhood and relationship issues including behavioral and developmental problems, school problems, parenting skills, parent-child dynamics, life transitions, family dynamics, self-concept, abuse and trauma, anxiety, premarital counseling, separation and blending families. Dr. Boyd also conducts psychological testing and evaluation with both children and adults. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the American Psychological Association. She has been married since 1991, and has a daughter and a son.
