Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Katie Byron, Ph.D.
Dr. Byron is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who earned her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary. She has Master Degrees in Psychology and Christian Leadership also from Fuller, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University. Dr. Byron’s past clinical experience includes working with adults and adolescents at the Wright Institute of Los Angeles, and Fuller Psychological and Family Services. She has been trained in working with eating disorders at the Susan B. Krevoy Eating Disorder Program, where she worked for a year and a half. Furthermore, she is trained in psychological testing, and has experience assessing children with a history of trauma and issues of ADHD from her work at Family Stress Center.
Dr. Byron's clinical areas of focus include couples therapy, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, issues of identity, life transitions, and trauma-related issues. She also enjoys working with individuals in the creative arts. Dr. Byron works from a depth psychology model, working to understand how one’s mind works and influences one’s behavior so one can have better control over one’s actions and choices in life. When appropriate, she aids individuals in processing pain from their past. She takes a holistic approach, involving one’s psychology, spirituality, physiology, and relationships.
Dr. Byron is married and enjoys spending time with her husband and dog.
