Tania Choi is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee in her last year at Santa Clara University. Her MA in Counseling Psychology will be the culmination of many past lives as a designer, writer and education technologist. She holds degrees from Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design and Stanford. She incorporates the tools of art and play therapy, writing, role play and experiential processes in her work with individuals, couples, women and children. Her specific interests and experience lies in areas of individuation, differentiation, grief, anger and anxiety.
Her experience includes doing child-development research with preschoolers at Bing Nursery (Stanford’s experimental nursery) as well as facilitating a women’s codependency group for the last three years. She started a conflict resolution program at an elementary school and volunteered as a lay counselor during her studies. She also led a year-long therapeutic writing group for women. She is a believer of 12-step programs and is a member of Al-anon and CODA enjoying the larger spiritual community.
Tania was born and raised in Singapore and is bilingual in Mandarin and English. In her spare time, she loves on a husband of 14 years and two young children.
