Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Marty Denae Couch, M.A.
MFC 45209
(408) 327-9459

Marty is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her Master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Western Seminary and her Bachelor’s degree from Bethany College.  Her areas of focus in counseling include people in ministry, depression, anxiety, codependency, addiction, grief and loss, pre-marital and couples, trauma resolution and severe mental illness. Marty also facilitates a partners group for the Addiction Recovery Center, helping women whose partners struggle with sex addiction, as well as teaches as an adjunct professor at Western Seminary.

She and her husband, Shane, have founded "Missionaries to Ministers, Inc.", a ministry aimed at helping those in ministry around issues of sexual integrity, boundaries, and personal growth. Together they have three children. Marty had brain surgery in May of '08 to remove a benign tumor and as a result has some facial paralysis. She finds that her clients often relate to an inner paralysis that can result from difficult life journeys. She is trained in EMDR, ACT and Prepare/Enrich, and is a member of CAMFT and AACC.
