William Eya is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee looking to complete his Master's degree in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University in June of 2012. He received a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of Zimbabwe, postgraduate training in Political Science and a Masters degree in Spirituality from Santa Clara University, California.
Born and raised in Nigeria, William has lived, studied and worked in three continents: Africa, Europe and North America, and has worked as a BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students – a program of Santa Clara University’s Wellness Center) Health Educator. He has also worked with the IT department of Santa Clara University Law School, as well as a secondary school teacher and pastoral counselor for about 7 years.
William is interested in helping people find meaning in their lives, in spite of difficult circumstances and also to achieve integral health, through exploration of internal strengths.
