Irene is a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who received her Master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy and Art Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University. She received training at the Giarretto Institute Child Sexual Abuse Treatment Program and has experience working with exceptionally difficult teenagers in a residential care setting. She specializes in using a combination of talk, art, and sandplay therapies to address issues such as depression and anxiety, negative self-image, relational issues, trauma recovery, grief and loss, and life transitions for children, adults, families and couples. Irene also works part-time for the Franklin-McKinley School District as a Counselor Intern for elementary school students. She is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
