Mariana is a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Cruz and her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. She has also had additional training in lay counseling through Christian Counseling International formerly located in Scotts Valley, CA. She works with children and their caretakers, teens, women and men, couples and families seeking healing and greater fulfillment in their relationships. Her counseling interests include helping those struggling with stress and anger management, issues of anxiety and depression, grief and loss, life transitions, trauma, women’s emotional wellness including prenatal and postnatal challenges, couples, parenting, multicultural conflicts including immigration, and issues with self esteem, self image and spiritual conflict. Mariana is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. She has been married since 1998 and has one child.
